Artist's Description
Earlier this fall I took a hike up Red Creek in the Dolly Sods Wilderness. Usually this late in the day yields a lot of cooked photos, unless you're in the shade and by the creek. Autumn had just started in the higher elevations and was working its way down. Notice the top of the mountain in the distance.

About Jason Funk
I started photography in 2012. I grew up in a small town in West Virginia and lived there most of my life. Growing up around Tucker County, I constantly had the opportunity to visit all the surrounding state parks and scenic landscapes. I was probably a little spoiled in that respect. I now reside in Maryland, but West Virginia will always hold a special place in my heart. I will photograph just about anything, but I prefer landscapes the most. Recently I've been fascinated with astrophotography combined with landscape photography. It's just such a challenge. My main camera is the one I happen to have in my hand, but I prefer my Nikon D7200 paired with my Rokinon 10mm Ultrawide lens. In the future, I hope to invest in a longer lens so I...
