Taken during fall of 2014 at Dolly Sods Wilderness on Big Stonecoal Run, tributary to Red Creek.
Taken on tripod with Nikon D3100, 18mm, f/22, ISO-100, 15 seconds. Used a circular polarizer and Singh-Ray ND-3 Rev Grad filter.
Edited with Lightroom 5.
About Jason Funk
I started photography in 2012. I grew up in a small town in West Virginia and lived there most of my life. Growing up around Tucker County, I constantly had the opportunity to visit all the surrounding state parks and scenic landscapes. I was probably a little spoiled in that respect. I now reside in Maryland, but West Virginia will always hold a special place in my heart. I will photograph just about anything, but I prefer landscapes the most. Recently I've been fascinated with astrophotography combined with landscape photography. It's just such a challenge. My main camera is the one I happen to have in my hand, but I prefer my Nikon D7200 paired with my Rokinon 10mm Ultrawide lens. In the future, I hope to invest in a longer lens so I...
